For women and moms, wellness is a hot button topic. We are constantly trying to find ways to take better care of ourselves and balance it all in the process. While there are obvious struggles like not enough time for self care, finding time to exercise and plan healthy meals, there are some not so obvious areas that many women overlook when it comes to their wellness and that is the foundation of self acceptance.

What exactly is self-acceptance? By definition it is an individual's satisfaction or happiness with oneself, and is thought to be necessary for good mental health. Self-acceptance involves self-understanding, a realistic, albeit subjective, awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses.
